H-E-B Groceries
When H-E-B Groceries planned to improve their ecommerce services, they decided to investigate different possibilities before writing extensive code.
My role
As a freelance designer, I developed a series of comps in Photoshop to help the team visualize alternatives. When H-E-B extended the contract beyond its original four-week scope, I invented a concept scavenger hunt, provided custom graphics for various projects, invented a HTML-based walk-through of a shopping cart, and created additional product page comps.
Produce fact sheet

How do you make buying avocados interesting? I designed these pages to showcase a single product’s many varieties and uses. Even the humble avocado has plenty of nutritional information, uses in recipe, and buying options.
Education at a glance

How can design help consumers make informed decisions? The stark colors create mood and draw attention, but the challenge here was to think beyond bullet points. I created these fact sheets to show a wine in context: Not “sweet” or “dry” but how sweet; which food pairings work or not; not just “chilled” but at what temperature; which other varieties are similar — or not.
Organized points of interest

Icons depicted various products’ nutritional benefits, organizing with hue and value rather than text. I also created large versions for formal displays, print and high-resolution screens.
